Camps + PA Days

The Maker Bean Cafe, in partnership with STEAMLabs, is hosting weekly creative technology camps to engage your kids & teens, as well as tech-focused PA Day camps. Topics include Robotics, Inventions, Minecraft & Video Game Programming. Descriptions and dates for all programs below. There are also a limited number of scholarships available to those in needs of financial assistance.

$95/day, 9 AM – 4 PM, before & after care available

Friday Nov 16th, 9 – 4 pm
Design and build a flopping creature.

  • Intro to CPX

  • MakeCode scripting, sensors & servos

Friday Dec 7th, 9 – 4 pm
Bring your dream to life using cardboard,
wood, & some basic gear mechanisms.

Have your kids spend the holidays making friends, learning tech skills and celebrating their achievements! We offer full-day camps throughout the Winter Holiday Break, from Dec 27 – Jan 4.

$95/day; Dec 27, 28, 31; Jan 2, 3, 4

Fall 2018 Camps

Ages 6-9: Imagineering – sign up here
Imagineering is a class that introduces kids to the fundamental skills of making and programming. Students will take part in activities that teach 21st century skills through games, storytelling and of course, making.

$210 / 7 week program, $270 / 7 week program with optional $60 robotics kit that can be reused at future programs!

SATURDAYS 10-12, starting Saturday, November 3 – December 15

Imagineering Club is a weekday after school program for kids who have lots of ideas and love to make things. At our maker space, Imagineers will learn new technologies and making skills to bring their ideas to life!

$200 / 7 weeks

THURSDAYS 3:30-6 PM, starting Thursday, November 8 – December 20, 2018

Do you often dream up ideas and inventions – but rarely ever get the chance to bring them to life? Using a combination of high tech tools (3D printing, laser cutting, electronics), wood working and craft, we provide the mentorship and structure to help you turn your sketched ideas into working prototypes – led by your own interests, imagination and ingenuity.

$280 / 7 week program, $340 / 7 week program with required $60 robotics kit that can be reused at future programs!
