We have 2 floors to host you, and can lead your group through fun & educational maker activities that’ll have you 3D printing, laser cutting & coding your way to your next project, while enjoying our extensive food & beverage selection.
Birthday Parties at The Maker Bean Cafe!

We’re excited to offer a wide variety of maker-themed activities to bring your friends & family together for your next birthday party! Parties last 2 hours, including time for the Maker activity (about 1.5 hours) and birthday song & food or cake (about 0.5 hours). You'll have exclusive use of our separate, colourful & bright maker space for your party, and you're welcome to bring your own food, drinks & decorations. Parents are welcome to stay, or drop kids off & come pick them up later. For kids birthday parties, we have a number of fun themes to get your group making, laughing & learning together. |

Build an ArtBot! Learning about motors, batteries & wiring, kids will each build their own motorized robot that creates art on its own! |

Learn Laser Cutting: Make & laser cut your own design! We'll walk you through all the steps of designing your own laser cut piece in Adobe Illustrator, one laptop per child, and then amaze you as the laser cutter cuts & engraves your custom piece before your eyes! Recommended for kids 8+ years old. |

Minecraft Adventures on a private server! Each child receives their own laptop, and the group enters a private world of Minecraft to complete activities & build together, facilitated by one of our Minecraft experts; each child also receives a customized laser cut Minecraft piece too! For virtual online option, you can pick up as many laptops as you need and drop them off to kids, or we can arrange delivery for you. Refundable deposit of $50/laptop required, refundable upon return of laptops. |

Build a light-up laser cut treehouse! Use laser cut pieces to assemble your own treehouse, complete with warm, glowing LED light inside that you assemble yourself! You'll get all the pieces & plenty of customizable decorative pieces to bring your treehouse to life! |

Build a Pompom Catapult Kids build a catapult from laser cut parts and elastics, and use them in a distance competition with fuzzy colourful pompom balls! |
Pricing
Birthday activities are $45/child; price includes activity facilitators and all parts & materials and use of the private space. Food & drinks can be purchased separately & are not included in the activity price.
Other details
- Wide variety of days/times available, including Saturdays 4-6pm and Sundays 11am-1pm or 3-5pm, or weekdays after-school
- 5-child non-refundable deposit ($225) required to hold the booking
- We'd ask you to confirm the final number of participants ~1 week before the party; this number would be used for final payment after the party. For no-show participants, we can package a maker kit for you to take home for most activities
- Minimum of 5 activity participants for parties, max of 20 kids, and up to 25 with enough notice
- Plenty of nearby parking available, and easy access from Dufferin & Ossington TTC subway stations
