Celebrate your child's birthday with a hands-on maker experience — two hours of guided tech activities, private space, and plenty of room for cake.

How to Book

A $225 non-refundable deposit (equivalent to our 5-child minimum at $45/child) is required to secure your date. Final headcount can be confirmed the week before the party.

Choose an Activity

Each party is 2 hours — approximately 1.5 hours of making, followed by 30 minutes for cake and celebration. All materials and facilitators are included. $45 per child.

Build an ArtBot

Kids construct motorized robots that draw artwork on their own — learning about motors, batteries, and basic circuitry along the way.

Laser Cutting or 3D Printing

Each child designs a custom piece using Adobe Illustrator or Tinkercad (one laptop each), then watches it come to life. Recommended for ages 8+.

Minecraft Private Server

Each child gets a laptop to collaborate on a private Minecraft world, guided by our Minecraft experts.

Light-Up Laser Cut Treehouse

Kids assemble a laser-cut structure with customizable decorative pieces, then wire up their own LED lighting to bring it to life.

LED Diorama

Children build illuminated dioramas using laser-cut pieces and craft materials, learning basic wiring for LED components.

Custom Motor & Hopping Character

A theme-customized project teaching motors and cam mechanisms. +$20 custom design fee.

The Space

Party Details

Duration: 2 hours (1.5h activity + 0.5h cake & celebration)
Group size: Minimum 5 kids, maximum 20 (up to 25 with advance notice)
Space: Private maker space
Food & drink: You're welcome to bring your own food, beverages, and decorations
Parents: Welcome to stay or drop off — your call
Available times: Saturdays 2–4pm | Sundays 11am–1pm or 3–5pm | Weekday afternoons
Getting here: Parking nearby; accessible via TTC (near Dufferin & Ossington stations)
Accessibility: Main floor is fully accessible. The lower level maker space where the parties are held does not have an accessible entrance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance, especially for Saturday slots — they fill up quickly. If your date is coming up soon, reach out anyway and we'll do our best.

What's the deposit and cancellation policy?

A $225 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This covers 5 children at $45 each. The remaining balance is due at The Maker Bean, at the end of the party.

Can I bring my own food, cake, and decorations?

Yes — you're welcome to bring whatever you'd like. We provide the space and the making; you bring the celebration.

Do I need an exact headcount when I book?

No — an estimate is fine at booking time. We just need your final count confirmed the week before the party so we can prepare materials.

What if I'm not sure which activity to choose?

No problem — select "Not sure yet / tell me more" on the form and we'll talk through the options with you based on your group's ages and interests.
