Themes for Feb-Apr 2026 weekly camp sessions:

Week 1: Laser Cut Keychains - Design
Today campers will design laser cut keychains to attach to their keys or back packs! We’ll start the day with a crash course in Adobe Illustrator for Laser Cutting. Then we’ll learn how to draw our own designs and source some from online! Next week, campers will take turns using the laser cutter to engrave their custom keychains and decorate them with beads, charms and string!

Week 2: Laser Cut Keychains - Assembly
This week campers will take turns using the laser cutter to engrave the designs they created last week onto a wooden keychain! While campers wait for their turns, they’ll use premade charms, beads and string to further customize their key chains to reflect their personalities!

Week 3: LED Terrarium - 3D Design
Today campers will complete the first part of a two week LED terrarium activity! We’ll start the day with a crash course in TinkerCAD, a drag and drop 3D design software for beginners and kids! Then we’ll get to work designing an imaginary bioluminescent creature to live in our terrariums! Next week we’ll receive our 3D prints and assemble their new habitats!

Week 4: LED Terrarium - Wiring and Assembly
Today campers will receive the 3D printed creatures they created last week and get to work building their habitats!  First step is wiring up an LED to make our creatures glow, then we’ll assemble their terrariums out of laser cut pieces and decorate to our liking!

Week 5: Amazing Animations
Today campers will learn how to create their own Gifs with Wick Editor, a drag and drop 2D animation platform for beginners and kids! We’ll get a crash course in digital drawing and also practice using the “tween” and “onion skinning” tools to create smooth motion in our gifs!

Week 6: Plush Storm Cloud
To celebrate the rainy spring season, campers will make their own storm cloud plushies. We’ll learn some basic stitches and practice our hand eye coordination by sewing up our storm clouds and stuffing them to make them soft! We’ll finish up by decorating our clouds to make them cute!

Week 7: Coding a Virtual Pet Game
Today campers will learn to code a Tamagotchi inspired game in scratch, a drag and drop coding platform for beginners and kids! We’ll create our own digital drawings for our pet and pet food, then put together out code blocks to make our game work!
